First game of the season for the Express proves to be a success. Goaltender Edgar Faria kept his team in the game with an outstanding performance. After going down 2-0 through two periods forward Barrin Soares broke the ice scoring the first goal of the third period for Express sneaking one by just over the goalies left shoulder making it 2-1. While defense played very well to add to the many great performances Sattelmair, Valois, Jennings and Greene all had a solid game. However late in the third period came what was the game tying goal. Set up by Toby Andrade who fed the puck down low to Mike Roach who threaded a perfect pass through traffic to Dave Farias for a one timer in the top left corner was a beauty making it 2-2. The line of Desousa, L’Heureux and Benson put together a strong third period with tremendous pressure down low and great back checking which could have been the difference in the outcome.
